Mission:
There are thousands of Web sites offering information about breast cancer, but few feature information about groups, organizations and events in south-central Indiana. Breast Cancer: FYI seeks to fill that gap with links to local and area resources.
The American Cancer Society estimates that 4,400 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed among women in Indiana, and 900 will die of breast cancer. (Read about Indiana breast cancer statistics here.) If you are one of those women, information can empower you in making decisions.
There are over two million women living in the U.S. who have been treated for breast cancer. These women need support and information as well.
